This year SIA "METSATEK", Latvia's largest timber truck superstructure manufacturing company, will invest EUR 1,957,800 (without VAT) in the development of production and infrastructure.

The planned investments will contribute to increasing the export share of the company's production and strengthening the market position in the Baltics, Scandinavia and other European countries.

METSATEK holds a significant position in Latvia as the leading timber truck superstructure and equipment manufacturer in the forest transport industry. Even now, more than 40% of the company's production is exported.

Our immediate development plans involve increasing the volume of exports to 60%. This can be achieved by modernizing internal production processes, increasing production volumes and improving order fulfillment deadlines. Sustainable solutions in company management will play an important role in the long-term development of METSATEK.

Almost two million euros are planned to install scraping and painting cameras, purchase a welding robot and metal bending CNC equipment, as well as improve the existing infrastructure with energy efficiency solutions and install a solar panel power station. This, in turn, will reduce the amount of heat energy consumed and make it possible to use renewable energy types, correspondingly reducing the total CO2 generated2 waste by 30.28 tons per year.

The new equipment will allow customers to receive even higher quality products and guarantee constant quality service. These are essential criteria to not only ensure METSATEK's competitiveness in countries such as Finland and Sweden, but also to strengthen its leadership position in the Baltics and become one of the best manufacturers of forest transportation equipment in the region.

A part of the investments were attracted in cooperation with Norwegian financial instruments in cooperation with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) and Altum's "Increasing Energy Efficiency in Business" program.
