Last week, METSATEK, the leading manufacturer of wood transportation solutions in the Baltics, gathered more than a hundred representatives of the Latvian forestry and forest industry industry at the METSATEK Forest Industry Days in Viesturi Golf Club, Jaunmārupe, to discuss the current affairs and news of the forest industry.
In the first part of the event, a meeting was organized with the management of the Latvian Independent Forest Industry Association, who presented the association's activities and achievements, as well as future plans and the introduction of E-bills in the transportation of round timber.
As part of the seminar, the leading researcher of the Latvian State Institute of Forestry "Silava", Dr. biol Agnis Šmits, also participated, presenting the impact of the bark beetle on the industry in Latvia and the world.
And in the second half of the day, the event participants took part in practical activities. First of all, the guests had the opportunity to get to know themselves with METSATEK's superstructure news and wood transportation solutions. Our team introduced a completely new designed and built extendable manipulator console inside the car frame, H&W KALDARY heavy weight and REISCH chipping semi-trailer with moving floor and other finished projects. But afterwards, the guests took part in practical challenges, in which the most skillful ones were also awarded.
The meeting of industry representatives promoted the exchange of new knowledge and opinions, which will contribute to more effective cooperation in the future.
